Intrusion Detection |
- Member's Computer:
Browser:
- You can only connect using a browser that supports encryption. This protects data as it travels across the internet.
- Password:
- You must log onto T-Bay with a password. The password is the same PIN password used to access Touch Tone Teller (TTT), Tampa Bay FCUs 24 hour audio response system. You can change your password online or through TTT. When you change it online, you must use this new password for TTT also. If you change your password through TTT, you must use this new password for online access.
- Keep your password confidential.
- Never reveal your password to anyone. Never write it down where anyone can find it or figure out what it is. Change your password often, and be sure that you do not use common words that can be found in a dictionary, or numbers in a series. For example, try using special dates combined with favorite colors. Unlike an ATM transaction where you rely on the physical ATM card and PIN to complete a transaction, your account number and password is only needed to complete a transaction online or through TTT. Please take precautions to check that no one is physically watching as you enter your password. Although the password is hidden when entered, someone could watch your keystrokes as you enter it. Use the Log Out. Please use the "Log Out" feature if you are going to be away from your computer for an extended period of time. The logout will end your session and you will be forced to submit your account number and password before accessing your account again. Shutting down your browser is also a good way of preventing others from using your access. After a period of inactivity your current session on the web site will automatically timeout. To restart your session, all you have to do is re-enter your username and password at the log in screen.
-
- Timed Log out:
- If you walk away from your computer Tampa Bay FCU Online will automatically time you out after 5 minutes so others cannot access your account.
- Internet:
Encryption:
- Tampa Bay FCU uses some of the strongest commercial grade encryption to protect your account data. As the data travels across the internet it gets 'scrambled' and others are unable to read it.
- 3 Strikes You're Out:
- Tampa Bay FCU uses a system that will lock a member from accessing their account if an invalid password is entered three times. A member will need to contact our Member Services department to have their access reinstated.
-
- Tampa Bay FCU:
- Identity Cues:
- A
two-factor authentication method to verify your identity and easily
identify the real T- Bay website for you. Identity Cues provides
increased protection against online fraud and peace of mind that your
personal financial information will stay just that – personal. Click here to learn more Identity Cues.
- Secure Firewall:
- Tampa Bay FCU uses a state of the art Firewall system to protect its internal networks from outside intrusion. The Firewall refuses connections that are not authorized and only allows certain protocols into the internal computer system.
- 24 hour monitor:
- Tampa Bay FCU monitors Tampa Bay FCU Online 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. We know if there is a problem and we proactively seek and correct any problems that do arise.
