Tampa Bay Federal CU honored as
Philanthropic Small Business of the Year
TAMPA FL, November 19, 2007 – Recently, Tampa Bay Federal Credit Union was recognized as the Philanthropic Small Business of the Year by the Suncoast Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
The Philanthropic Small Business of the Year award is presented to a business that demonstrates outstanding commitment through financial support and volunteerism and that encourages and motivates others to take philanthropic leadership in the community.
Tampa Bay Federal supports over 50 nonprofit organizations in the Tampa Bay area with donations exceeding $100,000 annually. In addition, Tampa Bay Federal associates contribute over 2,000 volunteer hours each year by participating in charity events such as Relay for Life, Police Memorial Run, Metropolitan Ministries Holiday Tent, and Tampa Bay Federal’s signature event, the Ybor Kids Festival.
The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) represents nearly 28,000 members in more than 190 chapters throughout the world, working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education and certification programs. The association fosters development and growth of fundraising professionals and promotes high ethical standards in the fundraising profession. |
